I grew up on a small hobby farm on Salt spring island, I grew up working with animals and learning responsibility from the farm. In high school I was very involved in the leadership group, where I put on numerous events, fostered school spirit, and improved community school relations. I went on to become the president of the leadership group and won back to back school citizenship awards.
In university i continued my involvement by working as a resident advisor in the on campus dorms. Here i organized events, helped students succeed in school, and helped with their emotional life. After being a resident advisor for two years I joined the geography course union, and quickly became president where i worked to bring together people from different disciplines, and organized trips to national conferences.
after graduating with a bachelor of arts, major in geography and a minor in english, i moved forward to take my bachelor of education. while taking my bachelor of education i took on the role of education course union president.
